Patchwork
No one left with a heart for caring
This family the quilt with the fabric tearing
Ever further away from each other
The cold reality of our distance is the pain hollowing into the chest
We drift apart
As if we were directed by the sign of chaos
Bold warnings of keeping away from the face of our bridge
Judging and banishing each other as we live strangle by the spiritual cord of ego
Divided we wilt in the shadows beyond forgiveness
In a time when purity needs constant strength to keep from succumbing to convolution
How I wish we could all meet on a playground
Loving each other unencumbered
Rejuvenating the delicate bonds that connect us as a family
Washing away the the hurt
Languishing in the warmth one can only feel radiating from many beloved smiling faces
A song of harmony with my brothers and sisters
Echoing through the tree of our history
A pattern of branches
Tracing back to the beginnings where we were first given the gift of life
