The Island

in waters dyed red
Because of sharp silver reefs
an island lays still

soft peachy beaches
stung and marred by the coral
paint a vibrant hue

soon she will be gone
the sweetly silent island
her life force decayed

locals will cry out
for loosing their gorgeous land
and end a sad day

disappear does she
like an exquisite mirage
apo hot red sands

the ocean will drain
waters will cease to exist
fading into pink

for fear of unknown
a few will try to deny
and cling to the past

but the dyed red sea
is already gone away
grey reefs starkly shine

in waters dyed red
because of sharp silver reefs
she had lain so still

soft peachy beaches
stung and marred by the coral
now are still and dry

and now she is gone
the sweetly silent island
as if shes asleep
