Sunset

We watch the waves splash
onto the beach,
with little sea shells
floating in the water.
We watch the birds fly
over the ocean
trying to catch dinner,
we watch our friends relax
on the other side ov the
beach.
Laughing and joking around,
the total opposite ov
you and me.
We watch people walk by
not saying a word,
just calm in the peacefulness
in our little spot.
As the quietness fades away,
the day goes with it,
yet we're not ready for it to
end.
As the sun keeps setting,
you stand up and grab my hand
and slowly lead me to all our
friends.
They start a bonfire
and sit in a group,
while we sit alone
on the outside.
Watching what's happening
within.
As the sun finally sets,
officially declaring
the day as over,
I lean on your shoulder
and whisper,

"I love you."
