IN YOUR EYES
The mirror in your eyes is wicked fierce;
It views infected truth reflected backward!
My soul’s past and future is held captive
At the lip of the abyss, then you hurl me over
Only to rescue my remnants for re-sacrifice.
Each second gets smaller as you unravel
Me slowly shackling me with a single cord
Attached to your dispassionate anger.
This is synthetic love embolden by the serrated
Mastery of your façade of passive devotion!
Your rationale is defined by savagery
Intent upon debilitating my independence.
I’ve hidden my wisdom in the burning
Heart of the sun; it will crystalize
Your perception... the mirror will break.

Thanks so much for your comments! There are many women who have been abused by their husbands/boyfriends. It is a terrible situation; many women think they love the man or there is no escape. There is a way of escape if you have a "made up mind" to do so!
