Once a Chime

Church bells melted down to the ends of forging cannons for war

Once majestic brassy ringing tones for summoning

Faithful beings hungering for revelations to the life beyond shedding of mortal coil

Now the same metals gleefully send them there with hellish indignation

Find your answers

Cut truth from lies through the rite of demise

Once gently swaying high upon sacred tower

Now belly down in the ground it's only movement a violent deadly twitch

As in it's previous incarnation she does not discriminate between man, woman and child

The soil it bleeds, the soul it weeps

Once a lush vibrating note flowing the currents of tranquil skies

Now a thunderous burst bearing rotted fruit of unforgiving destruction

Once more the will of wicked men imposing the craft of artisans to vile ambition

Leaving Mother France to mourn this butchered delicate womb of the western cradle
