My Heart No More
The life i had is no more,
A light a wonder such excelled,
The newness of this feeling,
A caress a kiss a look,
I have no heart it is gone,
One before me doth now possess what once was mine,
Emotion rises like the sun and spreads its fingers like a ghost over skin,
A rapturous moan and intake of breath,
Stolen like a thief in the night,
Hands clasping bodies sliding,
There is an urgentness to the song being sung,
The notes rise and fall in time with the dance,
An ever gathering tango of limbs,
A wonder to the motion,
Ever rising in tempo,
The end is near,
It is felt in both,
Striving for what they know not but needing to reach,
The crescendo hastens and the lights explode,
Slowly the rainbow disperses into thousands of stars,
Two as one melt together
