Last night, about to head out
Taking that critical route
gotta be on that path to avoid The Wrath
See you don't know the half
Suddenly right then and there
Along came one of my Co-Fiends
On me like bad dreams wanting to talk-that-talk
Asking me, “How long I planned to be gone?”
I said, “Hopefully, the whole time.”
Co-Fiend then asked, “Does that mean you’re not coming back?”
I told ‘em, “Don’t know yet
Probably be gone for as long as it takes
So for me it’ll be up & onward
I’ve been approaching this thing each day
Come to realize you guys ain’t the right play
That this is a whole lot better then
trying to do things y’all way so like really
That's all I have to say. Now you mind if I getaway?”
This Co-Fiend looked at me, then looked away
Then, asked... “C’mon-what-is-it-that-you-really-trying-to-say???”
Prompted...I thought about it
Then I said, “No more lies...no more alibies”
unlike you I now realize...
That I can only submit to what’s wise
And as a matter of fact my whole body is now committed
Truth is I’m totally with-it and I'm now working “The Work” in tandem
Not doing anything too random while at the same time
In regards to my highs & lows; hopefully I’ll now take heed
Whereas my whole body and mind have decidedly agreed
Flowing along while avoiding what’s wrong
That's exactly what My Spirit needs
See I’m seeing myself in totality and
I’m now acting-accordingly
Because it ain’t nothing like getting oneself orderly
So now it’s just Mind, Body & Spirit
So why don’t you favor yourself and hear it
Because we’re all approaching the-time-to-leave
and for what’s gone past there’s
nothing to grieve
Meaning this ain’t the time to self-deceive
Again, this Co-Fiend was looking at me doubtfully
Remarking casually, saying, “Well, that’s all good, but
with my influence
you’ll do even more than
what you should.”
And right then & there..
My Warm Front motioned to My Back to “Back out slow.”
My Front now saying, “This Fiend sounding unlucky so we gotta go
Seriously, no fronting…but
you & yours
still don’t seem to know
that in all honesty
y’all need to get with The Flow”
See, was a Definitive Fiend and this is exactly what we mean
Alotta fronting for certain...
But we’re about to close this curtain
No longer y’all & us-together...
See, you are Bad Weather
Sole owner of an unworthy scene...
So surely we’re parting right out of this dream
Truth is... this set’s really been a sick nightmare
Like ice without the cream having
many of us stare...
...nowhere.”
