Run with the unicorns
I was the warden of the last flock of unicorns
Watched them day and night
Found the greenest luscious places for them to feed
I sang and told fairytales - all their to fulfil their needs
Glittering manes glowing under the full moons supervision
Their nostrils peacefully taking the clear dark blue air in and out
Thinking about my past I forgot that this story is not meant for unicorn ears
And I sang about you
About our love which never had a chance.
About the pain which has became a constant companion.
About the longing that eats us rom inside.
About the divine moments we had.
About our souls prisoned in reality
The animals stopped to graze and raised their lordly necks
Waves of neighing filled the silver lawn
They gathered
An silver army formation with a divine mission
I could not hinder them
After all these years of my care the unicorns wanted to give me something in return
To find you and bring you back to me
I could not prevent them from running into their perdition
When they dashed in the dark and dispersed the dust of the past
In deep believe these pristine creatures were seeking to heal
They could not stop before the yawning abyss of reality
My metal scream filled the night and let the stars freeze
The universe stopped to move for a second
When I saw them falling down the cliff of verity
A rain of translucent innocent bodies
White silver hair waves in free fall
Cracking necks twinkling for the last time
Broken filigrane ivory legs
Mud and pomegranate red blood glued the body-shards
Open black scared eyes stare in the dark and ask me why
before they fog and became empty
And their last wheeze made the moon shiver
and the blanket of guilt lowers down to my shoulders.
I wish I did run with the unicorns
and joined their fall.
Watched them day and night
Found the greenest luscious places for them to feed
I sang and told fairytales - all their to fulfil their needs
Glittering manes glowing under the full moons supervision
Their nostrils peacefully taking the clear dark blue air in and out
