The RED Ribbon
Walking down a wet crowded street
Despite all these people there was no one to meet
Down to my feet I saw somthing fragile and alone
A muddy grey ribbon sticked to a stone
I dipped it in the beer i was drinking
Trying to wash away all the dirt
Like a jellyfish, it was not sinking
I got the feeling someone got hurt
Slowly retrieving its colour again
The ribbon wispers its unfullfilled secret past
Just sadness - no bitter complaint
When dreams vanish and hope becomes past
It was a part of beautiful red satin dress
Worn by a innocent girl for its first date
She was waiting all night, her inner a mess
He did not come, forgot or was very late
When patiently sitting on a bench in the cold
The ribbon got loose and dropped
When disapointment was the only she hold
And for the first time her hope stopped.
Despite all these people there was no one to meet
Down to my feet I saw somthing fragile and alone
A muddy grey ribbon sticked to a stone
I dipped it in the beer i was drinking
Trying to wash away all the dirt
Like a jellyfish, it was not sinking
I got the feeling someone got hurt
Slowly retrieving its colour again
The ribbon wispers its unfullfilled secret past
Just sadness - no bitter complaint
When dreams vanish and hope becomes past
It was a part of beautiful red satin dress
Worn by a innocent girl for its first date

When patiently sitting on a bench in the cold
The ribbon got loose and dropped
When disapointment was the only she hold
And for the first time her hope stopped.
