Are those pangs of pain that stab at my heart, the final piece of you trying to escape me?

Are the days when you're with someone else, those very same days that my soul feels so dark and uninviting?

The times I search my soul thinking you've gone, those are the days I am most afraid.

While ever I find a whisper of you, I know you are the one that allows yourself to be there.

If one day I search and you are gone, I will know it's finally over.

I just want and need you there, whether we are together or not, simply because you are a true part of me.

I hope regardless of where we are or who we are spending time with, that will never change and I am able to carry you with me forever.

I can't remove you from my heart and soul and I know you have reason not to want to be there, but if it hurts you so much, take yourself from me.

Now tell me how much you hate me again, it would be so much easier.
