Your Strength
Your bitter words have left your tales unsung for far too long
And you would be but a shadow in the night if your eyes didn’t burn so bright
Let me wash the blood off your hands and bandage your wounds
Any form of death would be coming too soon
I’d rather be deaf dumb and blind than have to attend your funeral
Your voice is musical and the words you spin are ethereal
Please don’t ever leave me behind
I want to be there when you’re weeping to dry those pretty eyes
And help you so you don’t down another shot of vodka or snort another line or cut another time
Your beauty is in your elegant, subtle strength that is so obvious even when you feel weak and have tear stains on your face
