Sonnet In The Night
Something bout the night that lets you see the stars
Something bout your glance that tears open scars
Eleven Eleven, make a wish, dear
And face everything you've ever feared
Wipe away my makeup before tonight
Because I know it's gonna be a fight
When the pale moon gently cries out my name
But my hard heart says he's the one to blame
I've been sitting here for many hours
Picking petals off these mourning flowers
It's all useless cause I already know
He doesn't love me and it's all a show
Gaze out at the moon who still calls my name
Maybe he's the one, maybe he's fair game.
Something bout your glance that tears open scars
Eleven Eleven, make a wish, dear
And face everything you've ever feared
Wipe away my makeup before tonight
Because I know it's gonna be a fight
When the pale moon gently cries out my name
But my hard heart says he's the one to blame
I've been sitting here for many hours
Picking petals off these mourning flowers
It's all useless cause I already know
He doesn't love me and it's all a show
Gaze out at the moon who still calls my name
Maybe he's the one, maybe he's fair game.
