A Thirsty Mandible

It's flat, calm and matte.
Might as well be gray, it's all plain.
Shallow thoughts, colorless dots.
Dry wood, a looted hood.
It's lull, or dull, secluded or rural;
A paper skull, soaking a mandible.
Toxic pooled, the toxins fooled,
My mind, so pressurized.
Into beliefs of peace, relief to please.
Shot for shot, drought or draught.
The nights' bought, on a drowned thought.
Scattered open, redundant and moping.
Twinkling eyes, shine thirst over prize.
Hollowed cask, invert to bask;
An easy task, for a quick mask.
Mache once dried, paper petrified.
Brittle skull, and a thirsty mandible.
