When words aren't enough

Written with the help of LobodeSanPedro

Words meandering drunkenly around us
falling in and out of context
brushing up against meaning
stumbling into passion
poignancy a forgotten wish
blushing she says she loves me.
But verbose as I may be
it's my tactile bliss
my lover's kiss
that spells my love more surely
than anything uttered by lips.

blown dandelion
vespers carried on your breath
what new flowers bloom

No verbal kiss feels quite like this
and you can't taste the passion of a love letter
or feel it breathe
it's warmth upon your chest or neck,
holding your arms as you take that kiss.

my skin your parchment so script the tale with every flicker of your lips

Nor smell that sweet perfume.
It's love and lust.
The beginning of trust.
But it's never so real without you here.
So I'll end this laborious love letter.
Silence my spoken words.
Kiss your lips.
Embrace my this.
And see you when you come back home.

cruel blindness
entombs who I am
