Prayer For An Addict

She closes her eyes with tears running
down her face
The lighter in on hand and the pipe in
the other
She feel the urge to smoke her pain
away
But knowing doing so wont help her and it
will bring disappointment to the ones she love
The pain and the struggle in her overwhelms
her
It smothers her.
It consumes her.
She takes the first hit
Her hands shaking like a leaf in the
wind
Her eyes turns pink then to a crimson
red
She catches her breath..
Then takes another hit....
She hears the voices of the ones that
try to help her
But the drugs that filled her veins
her body
Has taken over....
She takes another hit then passes
out
She awake the next morning knowing what
she has done
She fucked up again
She tries to hide her guilt but knows she
can't hide it from the ones she trust the most
Her Guides....
And again she says to them "I fucked up again"
She tries her best to hold back the tears but
they fell from her cheeks
Streaming out of her eyes like pouring
rain
They come together hand in hand and begin
to pray
Praying that the road she is on will
help her grow
Praying she will have the strength
to fight the demons she have inside
And praying to God he will show her
how
May she rise from the ashes of her torment
and despair
Where she will be standing tall
Shedding her shell and blooming into a
strong fighter
Nothing will stand in her way because
she will always come victorious
