Bon Voyage, My dear
It was a cold Wednesday afternoon
The day I realize I lost you
The sun was out and shining bright
However it had a certain gloom
January 8th was the day you walked away
Taking with you your heart
I asked you to stay, begged even
But you were having it your way
January 9th I packed my bags
Left that morning
With a thumb for a ride and a 5 for expenses.
beginning the 800 mile journey to you
January 10th at midnight I arrived home
Snow falling and long stuck to the ground
I built a fire up, laid down
Reminisced on the outside of my town
I stood outside your house that morning
Waiting for you to go to work
I waited in hopes to talk, work it through
Looking through the window, I saw you
Laughing with him
Playing with him
Smiling with him
Forgetful of me
You don't know I seen you that day
You claim to not be dating
Nor to have anybody sense
But I know you are a liar
It may have took some time
For me to say goodbye
But now I've accepted life
As a fruitful "Bon Voyage"
The day I realize I lost you
The sun was out and shining bright
However it had a certain gloom
January 8th was the day you walked away
Taking with you your heart
