Scent

Over hills and valleys below
garden walls climbed  
flowerbeds trampled
dogs barking in defensive tones
down the streets
lamps blinking  
distant the street lights
across open fields
rain plowed mud
ditch and stream
as the crow flies
following the line
Slow train rumble
over bridges
into the tunnels
across open borders
River and Lake
to the door
Cats access
up the stairs
desired warmth
between my legs
is where I need  
you once more..
