the encounter

suddenly there you are
making yourself at home
across from me
looking into my eyes
and reading me as if
I am an open book
and i wonder how it is that
you can see me so clearly
that you understand me
i cannot hide anything
from you
you look past those things
that have been pulling me apart
and i feel those cracks closing
being filled with something else
that i have never experienced
with any one else
