Glasgow Smile
Our eyes meet, and it's happening again.
She returns the grin, her lips glistening.
She's done this many times before,
knows that she's caught her prey.
What is it about her that triggers this reflex?
Does she know I'm falling?
I am well aware of the others,
The victims she draws in with her dance.
They didn't stand a chance,
left lifeless on the side of the road.
I know, but I let her continue.
And the cuts fucking hurt.
