Superwoman
Superwoman
Not Lois Lane
I excel in my lane
Jackhammerin’
If you try to block my fame
It’s impossible
Cause I shine like diamond mines
Raw
Real
Not from the hood
But I can relate
Thorough bred, boroughs
I understand the struggles of the ghetto
But I play my part
Work by day
Grind by night
It don’t stop
But I can’t stop
Not restless
Just progressive
To the expected end
Where I can lay up under aged trees
Ya’ll remember that?
I’m at peace
As I annihilate these
Perceptions and misconceptions
Tryna bind me
Loose me!
Chains and shackles
Free yo mind man!
I was just like you
Wonderin’
Searchin’ for clues
Da blues
Because rather than fight
I wanted to tap out
Give out
Nevertheless I’m tapped
Touched by an unknown force
My destiny keeps beckoning me
Pleading with me
To seek thee
Internally, eternally
Why this “S” on my chest?
The bravery in my heart unchecked
I do, without thinking
Be, without blinking
And in a blink of an eye
I’m transformed from the norm
Amazed, nothing can break ya gaze
But hey,
I’m just like you just new
Settling for the status quo, I refused
Embracing my calling even to the death of me
Bring out the best in me
For others
Because to serve is the greatest blessing
Greatest weapon against iniquity
Outta the two wolves I feed
The one that’ll challenge me
Ego I must slain
The powers unlimited
Untainted
Unapologetic
Real & true
Tried & I find
These powers that I have
I am but one of many
So in this world of the confused and disheartened
Misplaced authority
Twisted rules
I choose to rescue
My people
Humanity needs thee
They say at the end of the day
I’m not Lois Lane, but I excel in my lane
Burn up like kryptonite, so we can join in the fight
