How very strange is that, "female ocean!" And yet it seems so logical in the universe of the poem.

About the grammar, sometimes I see an 'error' but I wonder if it is not an error but rather really a peculiar way of 'speaking', a particular voice (or style, but I am not very fond of that word "style") in poetry.
