My Life  
 
is not perfect for it was never meant to be  
molded by my family and friends imprinted in my personality  
As I grew into my own, slowly I discovered me  
not defined by anyone I choose my way willingly

is filled with ups and downs  
backwards and forwards, turns and upside downs  
tears, smiles, anger, happiness and frowns  
hurts and pains yet I still dance in the rain  
the sun shine-it, gray skies comes and goes  
yet within myself I continue to explore  
the nuances of my life and continue to be more

I have found love, lost love again and again love is like a revolving door  
but make no mistake, I am the captain of my ship, I am at the helm  
I love whole heartedly, been hurt foolishly but my heart beats purposely  
I live my life in service of humanity, in service of me  
My life never jaded, the love within me has never faded

Is creative, wonderfully exhibited, never exasperated  
elated my achievements shows you in me there is greatness  
out of me, the glow of love and life within me showcases

Easy sometimes, hard sometimes  
I live, choose, accept, reject, reflect, look ahead, and I am wonderfully surprised  
at the amazing person I have grown to be
always reaching beyond the stars, carrying humanity next me
