Losing Ourselves

There is a beckoning from you
There is an answer from me
All you had to say was where
And I’d meet you there
From the outside no one will see
These wild moments of greatness
From the outside no one will see
You and I, together, losing ourselves

When night cools the day
And there is nothing left to say
You draw the shades
Ill light the way
With embers still burning
And bodies still yearning
A reach, a push, a pull, a kiss
For now, a warm memory of bliss

There is thunder in the distance
There, where lightning strikes
All you had to do was pull me close
And ask me to come to where the light glows
From the outside no one will hear
These untamed minutes of passion
From the outside no one will hear
You and I, together, losing ourselves

When we cross the bridge
And you say to leave behind my baggage
You take my hands
I’ll hold yours tight
With your warm protective touch
And lingering eyes
A reach, a push, a pull, a kiss
For now, a warm memory of bliss

From the outside no one will know
You and I, together, losing ourselves
