The Ambos
Our ambulance has just been dispatched.
I wonder who we’re saving tonight.
Another name, another number-
Another day at the job really.
Heat beat in time with the siren,
It’s just a shame the patient’s isn’t.
They were unconscious on the floor,
“Just thought he was sleepin’!”
Then the best part: kicking cars out of the way
To your left, move over, let us through
On the quick drive to the hospital.
And there’s always a sneak car
Hitching a ride behind us past the traffic.
Ambos really do get a bad rap-
It’s not like we enjoy scraping people off the road,
But who else will?
