My life in a shell....

Although I am young, I have been through what most do not until a later age.
And it has always made feel a little strange.
As long as I can remember I have always felt older, maybe because my life was a little colder.

Death is a close friend
He would come to visit
He would sit and watch
Watch as we bury another member of the family or hear about a friend going on ahead
It's become something that made me wonder when I was next.
But of course that was then

I've seen how people go from angels to monsters
From monsters to angles
And all the in between
Or so it would seem

Never one to fit to in, that is until I found others like me
And together we feel complete
We'd fight for each other
We'd do anything
I've seen this too

It's amazing what a person has gone and goes through without anyone having a clue
BUT I must say my life has not been all blue.

I've met people who would change your perspective by just having a chat
Connect with you so deeply it leaves you in wonder
Had the chance to meet people who would give anything to see you smile
And do everything to see you happy, even if it was just for a little while.
My life once felt so broken
My life once felt so dark
So hopeless
I thought it was all so meaningless.
But they thought that too
And together we learned there is so much more.

My heart was shattered
I was left feeling heartless
A feeling so dark I thought I went blind.
But now my heart has revived
It beats
And flows
And I've been told that I glow
I met a wonderful man
A man with pure kindness
A man with a huge heart
He makes me so happy, to begin to explain, I don't know where to start

I have learned many things
I have survived through it all..somehow
God has shown me mercy countless times
And so I spill my heart out to you
Just to tell you this message...
You matter. You are important, when your life goes dark...do not lose all hope.. With life comes change but be strong you will overcome it. I'll be here if you need me to
