Pains Face

 If any mind was readable, how life would go on
Knowing each others feelings
And knowing what each others done

Seeing the pain in each others eyes
Cuts through like a sharpened knife
In knowing the experience and feeling it too
I could sympathize and understand the truth
That in all pain is a common face
And mine is just as scarred
But in a different place

If you have the chance to view ones past
Look in deeper and understand at last
That in another life I strive to contend
I always found that in the confusion
I just want it to end

But what would happen, should that occur
The pain it would cause, the feelings that'd stir
 
Push me away and I swear I'll go
I'll show you what it's like, and then you'll know
My life revolves around small things and love
But what do you do, when push turns to shove?

Give me a reason to stay and I swear I will
Show me you care and that you love me still
Because even though my heart will start to race
I will turn back and recount pains face
