As I searched For You
I promised myself,
that promise could have saved me.
I sought wisdom,
It sat hiding in the dark crevices of mind.
I captured hope,
while gathering remnants to cold to touch.
I created glue,
forging a collage of our memories.
I released fire,
and consumed the tears of yesterday.
I promised myself,
freedom to live.
I betrayed my soul,
as I searched for you.
