The Wall
This wall isn’t made
from brick or mortar
It’s sealed with 3 am loneliness
it’s bricks are
the wanting to be needed
and it’s foundation
the need to be wanted
This wall keeps
the citizens of emotion trapped behind
like fiefs to a castle
and keeps all
who ride their horses of love
to it’s big ugly gate
at bay

This is how I feel about my heart. None can enter, try as they may. I may give a little. But the pain brings me back to reality and I shove them away. Quite easily also....Very relataible.
