Roads
I feel deep sadness
For the roads we all forgot
For as we were used to
Traveling on them
To lovers we’ve now forgotten
They made lovers of our presence
They saw who we really are
Alone in our cars
And they will always be there
Should we return
And yet we’ve forgotten them
