My Walk Along the Beach
I walked along the beach
All the way till the sand disappeared into the ocean
For part of the way
I noticed that I was walking in a strangers footprints
My feet unknowingly were hesitant to make their own path
As I walked closer to the water
The footprints vanished
As if they never existed in the first place
My path was no longer carved evidently in front of me
My feet were free to do whatever they wanted
On my way back
My feet gravitated away from all other marks
Allowing myself to make my own mark in the sand
All the way till the sand disappeared into the ocean
For part of the way
I noticed that I was walking in a strangers footprints
My feet unknowingly were hesitant to make their own path
As I walked closer to the water
The footprints vanished
As if they never existed in the first place
My path was no longer carved evidently in front of me
My feet were free to do whatever they wanted
On my way back
My feet gravitated away from all other marks
Allowing myself to make my own mark in the sand
