Betrayal

Is there any
loyalty that lasts?
Truly -
I think we all
really know what
loyalty means:
You may have
most of my
secrets, but I want
all of your's.


I let a boy I've known
for five years read
my poetry.
I said to him:
Please don't let me
regret this, okay?
But guess what?
He did.
He let me regret
how I bared my
fucking soul to him
with all the words
in that
notebook.
He lied.
