A Heart Dying Slowly

My heart is slowly breaking yet I welcome the pain
Why did I set myself up for such an unloving game
I knew the risks,I took the chance thinking the cards
were in my hands....
Once it started there was no going back
It wasn't supposed to be this way
The only thing I forgot was my heart was already tamed
He had it locked away,unknowingly
He could of destroyed me instead he toys with me
Did he not see the love in my eyes that I had for him
and him alone?
Or the little smile that shines for him an only him?
All this time he lead me on,an I willing followed
Some days I'd wonder why when I know this was fake
The games you played,the nights I cried
An for what I shed those dreadful tears all for you?
