How dare they!
How can so many people want me to live,
when indeed myself, I want to die?
Some say suicide is a selfish act,
I dont think so...
Only a selfish action on behalf of those who remain alive.
Living their wonderful lives, having no idea
what it is like to want to die every moment of their life.
They are the selfish ones, making those who want to die,
feel guilty.
For how dare they leave this world,
and make the perfect peoples life,
a little bit sad, if only for a short while.
How dare they even think,
to end all of their suffering,
to sooth their souls, if only for a short while.
How dare they!

This is brilliant! I can honestly relate; any time there's been a discussion on suicide, it's always thought to be the "coward's way out" or someone being selfish. I agree with your views on it, I do believe if someone is suffering it's hardly selfish to commit suicide. Anyway, a fantastic piece, well written and full of emotion. Two thumbs up from me! :)
