A Knot of Gold

Two halves of a whole,
to have and to hold,
to stand and be strong,
in love, and not fold,
a knot tied in gold,
composed in a ring,
all brought together,
in everything,
a little bit of love,
a little bit of hate,
a little bit of bittersweet,
I know you can relate,
so why would we wait,
it's already been so long,
I feel I'm almost late,
hopefully though, I'm,
just in the nick of time,
hopefully you'll, find,
a home in this heart of mine,
and yeah I know it's kinda cold,
and the front doors a little rusty,

I look you in the eyes,
and squeeze your hand tight,
I reveal The Ring,
a diamond so bright,
and as you blush and I slip it on your finger,
