Fool
I loved you, not from the start
But from the moment I opened my heart
I struggled up-hill to prove I was the one for you
Even when it felt like you didn't want too
You told me, you would hurt me
But that fell on deaf ears
You showed you could hurt me
But I shook that off
and wiped away
my tears
Ignoring all my fears
All because... I loved you
I played the fool For you
repeatedly
Mr romance, I thought It could be
A Good look for me,
For you
And Not be the dog
you were used too!
But was I romanticizing...
this relationship
Completely?
Could it be true?
The thought that the only one who has
Fallen in love, was me...not you?
I jumped in with both feet
Your waters ran cold
Your heart you hid down deep
My breath I had to hold
Yet still I dove in
just to pull you close
Over and over you swam away...
from me
To me that hurt the most
But I had to show you the love
I had inside of me was true
And that I was the man for
You
I am beginning to believe
I am a fool
All because...I love you
But from the moment I opened my heart
I struggled up-hill to prove I was the one for you
Even when it felt like you didn't want too
You told me, you would hurt me
But that fell on deaf ears
