The blinders are off!

I will no longer pretend
that you are the handsome, nice guy
with exquisite intelligence to match.

I finally see the patterns of your hate
for women.

The need to control and influence
a younger and less experienced mind
for only the period of time
that is convenient for you.

Or worse, take advantage
of those stuck in a viscous cycle of abuse,
resigned to a life of pain and self-destruction.

I have no doubt you would reason
that a girl like that is just doing her job.

I hate that I know
you will buy your pleasure
instead of seeking something meaningful.

I've known only a couple of men like you
 who, at the time, were mere boys.
Those who seek to control and belittle women.

You are a stark reminder of a past I escaped.

The word "friend" no longer pertains to you.
I can not be friends with someone I do not respect.

The time and effort wasted on this relationship
has been for naught.

You are an insensitive douchebag!

The time has come to sever you from my life.
