Big Brother
Big brother,
You were supposed to be the one to guide me
To help me pave the path from child to adulthood
I waited
Every day, I waited
For you to help me through the hard times
To hold my hand, lie to me and say "it get's better"
I would have accepted any form of acknowledgement
But brother
You let them change you
You let them tell you how to act,
Who to be
Big Brother,
I want you to know
That with every bump I hit in the road
I looked up with my small innocent eyes at you
I needed your help
I needed you to grab my hand
I needed you to protect me with a shield of reassurance
You know, they say I'm crazy
They say I'm absolutely out of my mind,
But I don't care
Because brother,
I made it
You were supposed to be the one to guide me
To help me pave the path from child to adulthood
I waited
Every day, I waited
For you to help me through the hard times
To hold my hand, lie to me and say "it get's better"
I would have accepted any form of acknowledgement
But brother
You let them change you
You let them tell you how to act,
Who to be
Big Brother,
I want you to know
That with every bump I hit in the road
I looked up with my small innocent eyes at you
I needed your help
I needed you to grab my hand
I needed you to protect me with a shield of reassurance
You know, they say I'm crazy
They say I'm absolutely out of my mind,
But I don't care
Because brother,
I made it
