Grave Intentions
I was created for greatness, A monument to the hell inside
Whether it be for the people or my own selfish intentions
I will rise above my own affliction and ruined condition
To the stars I was promised the day I was brought to life
I always prayed for help, This sinner knows his shortcomings
I always begged for help, This plague knows his symptoms
I always reached for help, This hand was always burned at the stake
I never needed any help, I needed this hatred to fuel my fire
A bitter prophet thrown from the chariot in the sky
Destined to bring the broken world to its knees
I never wanted this, I never claimed to choose this
I want, no, I need your love, Cure this sickness in me
I reach so deep inside to tear out your heart, To feed this beast
As you lay on the ground, I cry crimson tears my soul knows naught
As I lay you into the grave I dug, I wonder will this ever change
As I lay beside you, I beg for this to never change
Confusion blinds me, This duality of hell and heaven tears me apart
I feel the angels and demons vying for my soul, Ripping me to shreds
All the while, You demand smiles, Kind gestures and explanations
There is nothing simple I could say, Except that I’m sorry I could never stay
