Face It
I want to break away from all this pain
Can't stand the way you say my name
As everyday fades into gray
Ever the same, both to blame
Just chaos behind my eyes
Disgusted by all these lies
Trapped inside my own disguise
Looking for a way to fix our cut ties
Can't brush off the times you held me
Won't forget how your words hung heavy
All I wanted was for you to be happy
But that isn't how you look at me
You used to look at me so loving
Now your stare is blunt and haunting
You used to hold me tight, lover
Now you hold me out like a stranger
We're distant in a small enclosure
You step away every step I take closer
Kissed my eyes and held me tight
In a dream I had just the other night
Said you were sorry for every fight
Took back every word you said in spite
But reality is knowing you don't care
That all our good times aren't here
There is no love just delusional fear
No reason to keep coming back here
