My soul smiled.
Curled up in a ball next to the fire.
Naked. Under stars.
Seeing yellow and red.
Flickering in the night.
Dark skies.
Lights hang over our heads.
You smile.
Very apparently consumed by thought.
Notions rot
Underneath the heaviness of my breath.
I laugh,
Understanding how ironic life is.
My spine cracks.
Pleasure sets in.
Clouds roll over the camp site.
Heads stare up.
Eyes open.
Ears listen in to hearts beating
The night weeps.
The wind howls.
My eyes turn to dreams.
I fall into a lucid sleep.
Curled up in a ball next to the fire.
Naked. Under stars.
Seeing yellow and red.
Flickering in the night.
Dark skies.
Lights hang over our heads.
You smile.
Very apparently consumed by thought.
Notions rot
Underneath the heaviness of my breath.
I laugh,
Understanding how ironic life is.
My spine cracks.
Pleasure sets in.
Clouds roll over the camp site.
Heads stare up.
Eyes open.
Ears listen in to hearts beating
The night weeps.
The wind howls.
My eyes turn to dreams.
I fall into a lucid sleep.
