Thankful for regrets and mistakes

as we sit around and talk before bed
we ask what are most thankful for
my ruling answer
to your surprise i say regrets and mistakes
even though you do not forgive
I know the Lord will soon as much as a cup of tea
I ask for thankful wishes
Demand a thankful life
yet turkey makes me sleep
Thankful for regrets and mistakes
as they get me through the night
I wish to wake up from this dream
wait i didn't eat turkey instead soup...
I lay with my head down eyes close
Pray to the lord
say I am thankful for him waking me each and everyday
And thank you Lord for mistakes and regrets
Family may not forgive me truly but i know you do
Saturday is my thanksgiving
Please wake me when its ready
Good night family
thank you for your eyes and ears
now go to sleep and let us wake with new lives
and new eyes to forgiveness
