Image for the poem The Table

The Table

Save me a spot at the table

That streaches fom here  to forever

And there i'll convene

With kings and queens

And toast golden goblets together

Save me a spot next to you

My good and virtuous friend

Well laugh and we'll share

A meal thats prepared

A glorious feast without end

For we are all part of the wedding

Of his majesty and his bride

We saved you a plate

So don't be too late

I want you right here by my side

And tho there may be empty seats

Their spots are reserved should they come

And so let us dine

And sip on some wine

And we'll be together as one
