Hush-Hush
My arms ache for your embrace
To kiss a blush upon your face
Bask in the warmth of your smile
To hold me steady for a little while
For once I want to give in
Taste the salt of your skin
Open my soul and lay it bare
Allow our bodies to do their share
Clutching fingers, grasping tight
Husky moans of coarse delight
This carnality is only a spark
To build a fire within your heart
This passion is poorly contained
My words are cryptic and constrained
I strive to cloak and cover my desire
I dolefully damper this budding fire
As I sit here twisted up in you
Conflicted with the decisions we choose
A strangled tear escapes my grasp
I mourn this love that will not pass
