One in the Same
I stare into yours eyes
Looking for truth
You tear me apart with your horizon
The sun ALWAYS shinning bright
But your eyes are so blue
Cold like ice in the midst of winter
Where everything is clear
Yet solid enough not to break through
So then I ask
Why am I sacrificing my heart
For the warmth to be devoured
By the brutal brittle cold
So then what will I feel
Like I am any other human
Or one of your victims
The taste of victory poisons us all
Which will satisfy one
For the loss of another
Everything we thought was real
One and only one will see truth
I am cold
But blind to the light
I don’t know if its your touch
Or a reflection of my truth
Yet I know I am still alive
Because I’ve touched you
Or is the truth of it all
The fact you’ve touched me
Looking for truth
You tear me apart with your horizon
The sun ALWAYS shinning bright
But your eyes are so blue
Cold like ice in the midst of winter
Where everything is clear
Yet solid enough not to break through
So then I ask
Why am I sacrificing my heart
For the warmth to be devoured
By the brutal brittle cold
So then what will I feel
Like I am any other human
Or one of your victims
The taste of victory poisons us all
Which will satisfy one
For the loss of another
Everything we thought was real
One and only one will see truth
I am cold
But blind to the light
I don’t know if its your touch
Or a reflection of my truth
Yet I know I am still alive
Because I’ve touched you
Or is the truth of it all
The fact you’ve touched me
