Nyctophobia
I got out of the taxi and handed the driver a fiver.
'Keep the change mate' I yelled.
He took it and shouted 'This isnt enough...damn drunks'. He then sped off.
Not taking any notice I walked up the path and into my house. Outside was cold as if it was about to rain iced pitchforks from the dark heavens above, I could hear the wind wailing as the cold rain poured. I climbed up the dark stairs to my room which I then jumped onto my bed and turned on the TV.
Somehow I must of dozed off because I was still in my wet clothes and the TV gave off nothing but static and that annoying noise that came with it. I sat up and suddenly heard a tapping sound on the ceiling, I looked up and there was nothing there. I took off my shirt and trousers, buried myself under the quilt and drifted off once more.
Shortly afterword's I was awoken again, this time by an alarm-sounding object in the attic, I got up, grabbed my phone and used the nightvision on the video recorder feature. So I walked under the attic door. I released the latch and opened the door, and as the ladder came down I began to climb upwards, closer to the sound. I stood there in the darkness looking through my phone, the direct where the alarm sound was coming from, because it was all around me. Then it stopped out of the blue. I looked around and saw nothing.
So I began to climb back down, something moved in the attic and that alarm thing sounded again, I rushed back up with my eye on the phone and grabbed a long object.
"Hello?" I shouted. "Anyone there?".
I turned around and there it was starring at me with its empty, accusing eyes...it was a mouse. I laughed at myself and walked back to the ladder, then I felt something cold on my leg, I turned around slowly and as I turned around more and more the alarm got louder and louder as if was coming from what ever was behind me.
I suddenly woke up, breathing heavily, it was all a dream, thank god! My head was spinning and I felt sick, it was still dark outside. I went to check what time on my phone, but on the screen was the video I had recorded, playing in a loop...I then saw what grabbed me, the creature, I was scared out of my life, my face went as white as a ghost.
I then looked up at the ceiling and felt a cold chill on my back. Then, if there was nothing else to rise my fear, the alarm started to sound again...
