I just don't believe in words anymore
I just don't believe in words anymore
as there is nothing to say.
They used to be
my reason to be
My wonderful myriad paramour.
These days it's not the same,
Hollow words
to echo on the page
but not in my heart.
So forgive me when I say
I just don't believe in words anymore
As I can no longer command
these legions of letters.
Or orchestrate them into a symphony
to make the page dance
and emotions sing:
To me words are just a thing.
