Pains of the heart
And many fears
Haunted thoughts
And many tears
Wants and wishes
Through cold years
Old and daunting
But never mirrored
Unforgotten, and near
Cost of lives lost
Turned and geared
A sad word
Underrated and smeared
Alive, I wouldn't say we are
Dawn and dust
Broken trust
Time is lost
At every cost
And many fears
