Glowing In The Limelight

Glowing in the limelight,
they all notice you-
Making sure you shine right,
you have all the right moves.

Cycling past the prospects
as young children, yes we were.
You had in mind to find some guy
to give you what you're worth.

He couldnt be a poor man,
but he couldn't work to hard.
He had to look ,oh, just right.
He had to play his part.

Glistening when it suited you-
on the beach, in a bikini blue.
Strangers came to ask your name.
You played a game-
They did pursue-

Even married to a nice young man,
it never slowed you down.
He couldn't meet all your demands
so, again , you'd run around.

Glowing in the limelight
was just your cup of tea.
Watching you do all the work
made life easier for me.
