Locked in a Cave
Damp, dark, decay
Stuck in a cave
of misery.
Never
to move on
stuck in these
tunnels of stone.
Slippery, sorrow.
Falling.
Flop.
No reason to get up.
I lay here.
Cold, claustrophobic
ALONE
Far from society
Far from her
But I couldn't escape myself
That was the worst part.
No matter how much I wandered.
No matter how deep into the rock I went.
I could never run from my thoughts,
My memories,
My past
What caused me to cast myself away,
To throw myself overboard,
To want to fight with the wild rather than
Trying to "fix" myself
A cold cave was more welcoming
A damp, dark cave that was coated with decay
Was more welcoming than my own reflection
