I never imagined it,
It was no accident,
Now that it happened, it’s a sting.
I can’t remember life before,
But what am I fighting for,
If you’re not a wife before the ring?

And in my own defense,
It just doesn’t make sense
To straddle the fence and never choose.
Most guys will never say
they won’t take second place
and though I’d rather stay, you’re confused.
